Cartwright
During the summer months, the conservation corps partnered with SADC, Nelcor , LSCAP and the town of Cartwright to hire on four local students to do a beach clean-up and provide public sessions in Cartwright.
The four students used a set schedule that allowed them time to do the clean-up as well as to assemble material for public sessions on a weekly basis. They cleaned the beaches and logged all the material found and removed from the beaches.
Upon the completion of the project in August, they were able to clean-up the beaches within the community as well as to provide weekly activity sessions with the local kids.
